Japanese Church of Christ Centennial
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 2 - 4 pm, the Japanese Church of Christ (JCC) will celebrate the chapel's 100-year anniversary, "A Century of Loving Faith," at 268 West Japantown Street (100 South), Salt Lake City, UT.
The JCC is blessed to include two additional congregations in the celebration of their 10-year anniversaries in sharing the JCC chapel:
- Anchored in Christ Free Wesleyan Church (a member of the Tongan American Free Wesleyan Church group)
- Kachin Trinity Church
The celebration will begin at 2:00 pm with a presentation at the Japantown garden, followed by a 15-minute screening of Stamp Our Story: Honoring America’s Nisei Veterans, which tells the inspiring story behind Go For Broke: Japanese American Soldiers of World War 2 Forever commemorative postage stamp. We are honored to have Wayne Osako from California to present this special screening. An open house reception will follow.
